The challenge

A cheese tool brand everyone already loves, but hadn't yet heard

If you love your cheese, chances are you've got a Boska tool in a kitchen drawer somewhere. The brand had the product recognition; what it didn't have yet was a sound to match. Something warm, tactile, and a little playful, that could carry a 30 second national spot without ever feeling like stock music bolted onto a cutting room edit.

The approach

Built for broadcast, from the first sketch

Rather than scoring to a locked edit, we worked alongside the production timeline from early cuts, shaping musical ideas that could flex as the edit tightened. The brief called for something that felt handmade rather than generic: real instrumentation, a melodic hook simple enough to hum, and a mix built to survive the realities of TV. Competing with kitchen noise, other ads, and a living room speaker.

Industry research backs up why this groundwork matters: ads with a clear sonic identity are up to 8.53× more likely to be high performing than visual only ads (Ipsos, 2020). We treated the Boska spot's audio with the same weight as its visuals from day one, not as an afterthought layered in post.

The solution

Original score, full post, broadcast ready master

Musical production

An original score written specifically for the campaign. Warm, tactile instrumentation that matched the product's craftsmanship without tipping into pastiche.

Post production & sound design

Foley style kitchen detail and sound design layered to make every cut, slice and pour feel satisfying. Sound doing as much storytelling as the visuals.

Mastering

A broadcast master built to hold up across TV speakers, streaming platforms, and social cut downs alike, with consistent loudness throughout the run.

Why it matters

What the audio was carrying

Boska's spot ran nationally for multiple weeks, and the audio was built to be remembered on its own, the way the category data says it should be.
