- 250 separate charities coordinated under one audio identity for a national UK campaign
A collective that needed to sound like one
NHS Charities Together brings 250 separate charities under one roof, all there to support NHS staff, volunteers and patients. That's a lot of voices. Our job was to make them sound like one, and like someone you'd trust. Serious enough for what the NHS means to people, but warm enough that an ordinary donor feels spoken to.
Warmth without sentimentality
We mixed it with one listener in mind. Someone who trusts the NHS, wants their donation to matter, and maybe hasn't heard of NHS Charities Together before. That person needs to believe it straight away. So nothing rough, nothing that distracts, and a tone that does the work justice.
Post production that builds trust
Post production
Audio post from rough cut to broadcast master. Clean, and consistent across everything made for the campaign.
Audio mix
Clear dialogue, atmosphere in support, and an overall sound that fits the NHS brand.
Sound design
Sound design that gives the production some depth without ever getting in front of the message.
How do you make 250 charities sound like one organisation?
By mixing for the listener, not for each charity separately. Everything NHS Charities Together made for the campaign went through the same post production chain. Dialogue clear and up front, atmosphere behind it, sound design under the message. That gave the whole campaign one sound you could believe. Warm, but never soppy.
More on this: sonic branding for NGOs and charities.
Twelve voices, one collective
NHS Charities Together runs on trust. The post production just had to back that up, and sound as reliable as they are.
